Otago looks for something special

Haggart hopes Otago make the most of their opportunity to achieve something special.
"Semifinals are about getting excited and about having that self belief that you can do it," he said.
"This is a wonderful opportunity that the boys have worked hard for and we need to make the most of it."
There would justifiably be confidence in the Otago camp after the 24-19 win over Canterbury at Carisbrook on October 1, Haggart said.
"We can certainly take a lot of belief out of that game. It proves we can beat Canterbury if we play well.
"We respect Canterbury but we're not overawed by them. It's 15 guys against 15 guys in a semifinal, and the team that wants it most will win."
The Otago squad had a light run today, with a handful of players nursing bumps and bruises after the loss to Waikato in Hamilton last Saturday.
Haggart said everyone in the squad would be available for selection and eager to atone for the poor performance in Hamilton.
"Oh, we're disappointed with how we played. The guys hurt for a day or two.
"But it was just a blip when you look at how we've performed in the last four or five weeks. We'll fix it and forget it."
